Hailing from a nondescript village in Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu CVB was a little different from other children his age. While in College he collected and donated Rs.50,000/- in support of the Kargil war. He did the same for the Gujarat Earthquake relief fund too. He established a trust in the name of Mother Teresa and organized many socially relevant events including blood donation drives and so on. All of these gave him a solid grounding when it came to societal issues – which included emergencies medical, environmental and so on.
How one acts in a situation where an unforeseeable disaster unfolds, reveals that person’s true nature. When the brutal floods swept Chennai in 2015, there was an imminent danger of infectious diseases spreading like wildfire. Dr.CVB’s determined efforts and zeal for social work prevented this from happening. He also set up a war room in order to prepare for future calamities. CVB received best governance awards from both Amma and Honourable Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy (EPS).
